Hi, I’m a drummer interested in DL-1 – I’m just evaluating it at present but so far don’t see anything I don’t like. Super easy and flexible! I use a fairly complicated setup in Ableton, which hosts my sounds and max objects and this looper seems like a simple addition to my setup.
The datalooper pedal is intriguing but too much for my setup. I’d prefer to control things with drumpads or hand controlled midi devices, like a midi fighter twister, launchpad mini, or perhaps even an EraeTouch (v1). I’m pretty handy with creating scripts or using remotify/controlstudio.io.
Has anyone done such a thing? Are the various end points documented to do this?
Also in Ableton, do people find it more convenient to put DL-1 on individual tracks or on one or more track sends?
